| However, the results are likely to be underestimates of the effects, because the measures used were not sensitive measures of media violence exposure. In the fourth longitudinal study, 213 2005 gamers were recruited to play a massively multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG), 75 2005 of whom were given the game which included violent content (Williams & Skoric, 2005). Most of the 2005 gamers were adults (mean age = 28, range 14-68). The experimental group was requested to play the game for at least five hours per week for four weeks, although one third (32%) did not. At the beginning and end of the month, all participants were asked whether they had been involved in a "serious argument" with a friend or a partner during the previous month.
