The 60 days was the minimum so that the man might have treatment on day 61. If there was a chance to take this man and keep him from doing this again, then, yes, it is the right sentence. It was subsequent to that when the Vermont Dept of Corrections reclassified the man as "high-risk", at which point the judge changed his sentence accordingly.
