It was subsequent to that when the Vermont Dept of Corrections reclassified the man as "high-risk", at which point the judge changed his sentence accordingly. And not only did the man rape the girl, but the girl's parents allowed him to sleep in the same bed as her for years. There is more here than you're willing to look at.
