"I have a little girl who likes to express herself with how she dresses," one mother of a fourth-grader said. At home, parent-advocates aspire to be friends and equals, hoping to wzzmtv.com maintain the happy affection they think of as a "good relationship." It rarely seems to happen that way. Unable to balance warmth with discipline and affirmation with limit-setting, these parents are puzzled to find their 4-year-old ordering them around like he's Louis XIV or their 8-year-old screaming, "I hate you!"
