| I have already tried to control. Perhaps all I can do is try to slow things down. I am trying to get them to drunk reconsider their decision, will meet with the other parents. Have others been through this? How do they handle it? I would welcome discussion of this. In reply to the drunk mom whose 15 year old is now sexually active, I think she's said all the right things to her daughter for now. And talking to the boy's parents is an excellent idea. I suggest a visit to a Planned Parenthood clinic as soon as drunk possible. Her daughter should have a pap smear and be tested for sexually transmitted diseases. The more helpful thing about visiting a PP clinic is that the staff will talk with her daughter about making choices and protecting herself in a way that mom just can't. It's important for daughter to learn how to take care of herself and her physical health and Planned Parenthood is an excellent, caring and affordable resource. |
