Fear and paranoia are not higher goals than education March 17, 2006 01:04 p.m. There is not enough done to protect students at reviews the Jurupa Unified School District in Riverside. Teachers are no help. When I was in school, teachers taught in the classroom and then at recess and lunch they took reviews turns supervising. They did their grading at home. Nowadays they get "grading days"???? reviews And half of them still dont get the kids assignments back on time. This total lack of ethics and responsibility is very visable to our children. They are learning from it, so why should they take responsibility for their actions, the teachers dont. It is a constant battle to teach my kids that they are accountable for what they do and apparently the parents of this boy/man in Temecula who raped this poor young girl, felt it was not necessary to teach their child that. How sad that our kids cant go to the bathroom at school without being scared, but when I was in high school we didnt use the bathrooms either.
