This is uncontradicted. They apparently had been drinking, too. The fact is that they did take advantage of a drunk girl, even if, as the jury found, she was a willing participant to the sex. The girl most certainly didn't consent to what happened after she'd passed out, when somebody spit and wrote lewd words on her prone body. I believe we're probably doing a better job these days of teaching our young men that "no" means "no." But as the Missbrenner case illustrated, that's not enough. They need to be aware that "yes" doesn't necessarily mean "yes" either. While we have to be careful about where we draw the line from a legal standpoint -- because drunk people consent to sex every hour of the day -- men need to recognize that there is a line from a moral standpoint, a very blurry line when you've been drinking yourself.
