For your own sake, just be cautious and keep your eyes opened for anything that seems "off" about him. You don't want to end up paying for HIS problems somewhere down the line. It just doesn't people for the ethical treatment of animals sound right that he would drive 1000 people for the ethical treatment of animals miles ALONE to help some 16 year old girl just out of the kindness of his heart. It would have been just a people for the ethical treatment of animals fast, if not faster, to catch the first flight out the next morning. Personally, I wouldn't drive 1000 in the middle of the night for ANYBODY, much less a person that, at best, would only be considered a casual friend. (I didn't mean for the last comment to sound as cold as it came out.
