| The state's top court found that California denied Vincent Hofsheier equal protection under the law because those having intercourse in such circumstances would not be forced to register as lifetime sex offenders. But the article doesn't mention whether he got in trouble court for providing booze -- or at least, sharing booze, maybe she brought it to the rendezvous -- to a minor. After all, you only have to turn 18 for sex; you have to turn 21 for alcohol. An interesting legal factoid: U.S. law on oral sex has evolved over the years, and it was not until 1975 that oral sex between consenting adults was decriminalized in California. |
